The Royal Visit
Friday, March 4, 2005 was a special day at Breakfast Point. We were privileged to have His Royal Highness, the Prince of Wales visit and meet members of our community, do a tour of the village, then attend a small reception at the newest Breakfast Point milestone – the Community Hall.
“Many have been asking us why His Royal Highness chose to visit Breakfast Point. We’re pleased to let you know there are quite a few reasons!” said Bob Rose, CEO and Founder, Rose, “Breakfast Point embodies friendship, community and a wonderful quality of life – all attributes that His Royal Highness recognises and encourages – particularly when combined with leading international design and planning principles.”
Further to Bob Rose’s comments, the Prince of Wales is a keen advocate of encouraging the continuation of tradition in architecture and building whilst contributing to traditional environments. Accordingly, the Prince is the patron for INTBAU – the International Network for Traditional Building Architecture and Urbanism. This worldwide organisation is dedicated to the support of traditional building, the maintenance of local character and the creation of better places to live.
Breakfast Point’s developer, Rose Property Group, is part of this network and is actively incorporating INTBAU’s core philosophies and design principles in Breakfast Point. On this note, Breakfast Point is setting international standards with its new urban planning and design. This is evident through innovative design and building principles, planning, architecture, choice of building materials, landscaping and proportion of open space.
